About This Position
The Manager – Fort Worth Operations is a key personnel position providing strategic leadership for the Fleet Consolidated Sustainment Facility (FCSF), a 230,000 square foot centralized warehouse and sustainment operation supporting Navy Chemical Biological Defense (CBD), Damage Control/Firefighting (DC/FF), and Anti-Terrorism Afloat (ATA) programs. This position directs all warehouse operations, including inventory management, quality control, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, kitting, and distribution of life-support equipment to fleet units worldwide. The manager ensures compliance with Navy supply instructions, Government Furnished Equipment accountability requirements, and Defense Transportation System protocols while leading a diverse team in mission-critical fleet-readiness support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all Fort Worth FCSF operations, including QA/QC, inventory management, inspections, preventative maintenance, DRMO disposal, and shipping via commercial carriers and Defense Transportation System.
- Maintain warehouse management systems capable of real-time inventory tracking; conduct annual wall-to-wall inventories and continuous inventory audits for all Government Furnished Equipment in accordance with Navy supply instructions and SECNAVINST 5200.44.
- Direct receipt inspection, shelf life monitoring, condition assessment, repair, and distribution operations for CBD/DC/FF equipment, Field Protective Masks (FPMs), and Individual Protective Equipment (IPE).
- Oversee preventative maintenance, cleaning, sanitizing, assembly, disassembly, and intermediate-level repair of chemical protective masks and organizational-level maintenance of all other protective equipment.
- Manage preservation, packing, packaging (PP&P), kitting operations, and distribution of equipment to fleet units; coordinate all shipping activities and ensure environmental health and safety compliance.
- Implement quality control and safety programs, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and operational standards; maintain quality control files and document all inspections and audit results.
- Provide technical support for bar coding operations using 2D bar codes and laser etching; maintain data integrity of CMPro and DPAS warehouse management systems for real-time inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with Contracting Officer's Representative on facility operations, equipment requirements, and annual inventory reporting requirements to Congress for contractor-managed equipment.
- 5+ years of experience working on U.S. Navy engineering or logistics projects with demonstrated leadership, supervision, and/or task direction
- Knowledge and experience with Navy Supply instructions, Navy Inventory Management, and inventory audit requirements for Government Furnished Equipment
- Experience leading teams that include QA/QC, inventory management, inspections, preventative maintenance, DRMO disposal, and shipping operations
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, Defense Transportation System protocols, and commercial carrier shipping operations
- Familiarity with CBD, DC/FF, or similar protective systems and equipment maintenance procedures (preferred)
- SECRET security clearance
