Position Overview: The Summer Intern supports multiple departments across the organization, including Service, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to the employee benefits industry through a variety of administrative, client service, and project-based responsibilities. This is a paid, post-graduation internship with the potential to convert into a full-time role.
Work Arrangement: This is a part-time internship, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in our office located in Atlanta, GA.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Assist with verifying client and employee information, including coverage, enrollment, and demographic data
- Support inbound client and employee calls, providing professional first-level assistance and escalating as needed
- Research and help resolve basic client inquiries
- Assist with auditing client accounts and maintaining accurate records within the CRM system
- Prepare and distribute client-facing communications, including benefit summaries and informational materials
- Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling, document preparation, and file organization
- Support special projects, process documentation, and workflow improvements
- Track deadlines, action items, and follow-ups to ensure timely completion
- Assist with prospect research and maintain pipeline data within the CRM system
- Support preparation of sales materials, presentations, and proposals
- Coordinate scheduling of client and prospect meetings
- Assist with marketing initiatives, including content creation and social media coordination
- Research industry trends and support internal and external communications
- Provide general office support as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university
- Prior experience in customer service, administrative support, or a professional setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn and contribute across multiple teams
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Experience in a professional office environment or campus leadership involvement (preferred)
