LCMS Bioanalysis Intern – Marlborough, MA

About the Opportunity

Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to serve as a Paid Laboratory Intern within the LCMS Bioanalytical Department of Meadowhawk Biolabs, Inc. at our Marlborough, MA location. We are a Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans over 4 years ago.

This position provides applicants with a great opportunity to gain initial, hands-on Laboratory experience and exposure to the exciting Life Sciences industry. Our ideal candidate is driven, curious, and hardworking with a genuine interest in learning and working in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.

We are considering applicants available for:

· Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer

· Part-time (10–20 hours/week) during the fall and spring semesters

Scheduling flexibility is available within reasonable operational needs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Working under close direction, and in compliance with defined procedures, perform a wide variety of technical laboratory operational tasks and activities, including but not limited to:

· Study material receipt, storage, management and disposition

· Consumables receipt, storage, distribution and inventory management

· Biological and chemical waste collection and storage

· Labware cleaning

· Basic chemical solution preparations

· Preparation of biological samples for analysis

· Maintain organization of laboratory operational areas

· Other clearly defined duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

High school graduation or equivalent and pursuing a post-secondary degree in the sciences. No prior laboratory experience required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.

Skills:

· Highly organized and detail-oriented

· Adapts readily, willingly, and effectively to changes in assignments and priorities

· Able to multitask and independently manage time to maximize productivity

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

· Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Compensation:

The target base hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour. The specific rate for this position may vary and will be based upon factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s experience, education, and skills.
