About This Position
Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for creating timely and accurate entries for non-operated revenue checks, financial statements, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, responding to owner inquiries and accurately performing special departmental projects as assigned.
This position is based in Fayetteville, AR.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports directly to Department manager
- Interacts as required with other division office personnel and staff
- Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis
- Code and process invoices as needed in A/P software
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Process non-operated cash receipts in Quorum/ODA’s Revenue module
- Record and provide support to the Owner Relations portal (answer a wide variety of customer service questions)
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
- Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments
- Ability to use a computer and possess an understanding of computer software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work on many different projects at one time
- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
- Understand the importance of following standardized procedures
- Maintain professional appearance
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Possess an organized and disciplined personality
- A positive attitude and take directions constructively
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Willingness to "go the extra mile" to achieve division sales goals and objectives
Physical Demands
- Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently and frequently moving small objects.
- Frequently sitting for long periods of time
- Walking or standing occasionally
- This position works mostly indoors; going outdoors may be frequently required
- Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly
