How you'll contribute:

As an IT Solution Owner (ITSO) for Variable Annuity Asset Liability Management (VA ALM) Hedging function, you'll be a key member of the technology team supporting the hedging platform ecosystem spanning actuarial models, market data ingestion, hedging analytics, derivative execution and downstream financial reporting. Agility, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to forge relationships are the key attributes of this role. You will work with senior team members to deliver solutions that are scalable and reliable in a modern cloud environment and help ensure they are delivered on-time and on budget. As an ITSO, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of processes to create efficiencies for the organization. You will drive consensus within the Brighthouse and vendor teams and coordinate with peers to meet key business priorities and deliver business value.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of technical initiatives, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical design decisions.
  • Directly elicit business requirements or support business systems analyst to translate business needs into actionable technical specifications
  • Partner with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility, scope clarity, and technical soundness throughout the SDLC.
  • Identify delivery risks early and drive mitigation strategies across business, vendor, and technology groups.
  • Lead impact analysis for technology changes, planned releases, and cross‑system enhancements.
  • Ability to navigate the organization, influence decision makers and win trust as a key partner to business, technology and vendor teams
  • Support custom development, integration and implementation activities in VA Hedging and other highly complex projects
  • Execute strategic roadmap of technology in partnership with business, data and vendor teams
  • Provide recommendations into the annual strategic planning process, ensuring alignment to the strategic priorities
  • Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our technologies to improve

We're looking for people who have:

  • IT Project or Product Management experience (7+ years of experience)
  • Self-driven ability to understand, uncover, resolve, and recommend options to solve complex business issues with technology solutions.
  • Ability to create clarity out of ambiguity—synthesize technical and business perspectives into actionable roadmaps.
  • Ability to successfully interface and partner with business stakeholders and IT engineers to develop actionable project plans for technical solution delivery.
  • Excellent communicator, conflict, and problem solver.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is required.
  • Experience with infrastructure and TechOps project delivery is a plus.
  • Financial services or insurance industry experience a plus.
  • Experience using Jira, GitLab or GitHub are a plus.

  • Compensation – Base salary ranging from $130,000 to $150,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
