About This Position

Description:

The Service Field Engineer is responsible for supporting Duncan-Parnell’s Wide Format division. Planning and coordinating activities related to equipment installations, investigating, and resolving customer reports of technical issues, and service to equipment are the primary roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation and training of new or refurbished equipment at customer’s office to ensure full functionality and customer understanding of equipment operations.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot equipment to determine source of problem, perform break/fix repair.
  • Provide preventative maintenance keeping schedules as prescribed by manufacturers.
  • Manage inventory control of parts.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Interaction with customers prior to on-site visit to verify potential problem and ensure correct parts are taken.
  • Attend manufacturer’s training classes and share knowledge with service team.
  • Ability to configure printing equipment defaults and settings to customer requirements.
  • Working Knowledge of Windows including adding local and shared printers and installing, updating and removing applications.
  • Working Knowledge of MAC OS including adding local and shared printers and installing, updating and removing applications.
  • Ability to do start to finish end user training on equipment operation and applications and drivers
  • Ability to operate remote support tools to connect to clients and resolve issues.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull fifty pounds
  • Operation of a motor vehicle throughout the day as customer visits require.
  • Requires bending, kneeling and squatting to perform maintenance tasks
  • Ability to drive company work vehicles including 16’ Box truck.
Requirements:

Education: Associates degree, technical school, or equivalent experience required.

Requirements:

  • 2 or more solid employment references from relevant sources
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Customer service focused
  • Mechanical ability
  • PC operation
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
