About This Position

PPA is an award-winning practice in traditional architecture, recognized as a leader in classicism and historic preservation. We are currently seeking architectural interns to join one of the firm's highly skilled and technically innovative teams. Our work ranges from houses and apartments to institutional and commercial work, including mid-rise residential apartment buildings. Our portfolio of projects has consistently expanded and includes books on American architecture as well as museum exhibition design. A successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness to engage in a collaborative and creative environment and will show evidence that they can consistently produce work of very high quality.


There will be two sessions:
Session I: May 26 through July 3, 2026

Session II: July 6 through August 14, 2026

Role Description:

  • Assist with survey and analysis of existing site conditions as needed
  • Produce drawings with direction from the design team and Project Manager
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and senior members of the team to produce deliverables accurately and on time
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings
  • Assist in coordination efforts with the project team
  • Develop drawings and models as needed
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral formats
  • Self‐check own work for completeness and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from an Architectural degree program
  • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, time management, conceptual, communication, and organizational skill
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of different rendering techniques and excellent graphic skills
  • Precise and personable verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of architectural design and construction principles
  • Must be able to commute to the NYC office


The pay range for this role is:
22 - 25 USD per hour(New York Office)
