To support double-digit year-over-year growth, they have entered into a strategic joint venture with a major global partner and are constructing a state-of-the-art production facility. The Role We are seeking a high-ownership leader to manage the end-to-end supply chain. This position is a backfill for a senior leader moving into a strategic project role; this individual will remain on-site to provide training and transition support. You will oversee a department that includes three direct reports managing warehouse, procurement, and logistics. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter who prefers taking initiative over seeking constant permission.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Management: Oversee everything from raw ingredient and packaging procurement to last-mile customer deliveries.
- Logistics & Distribution: Manage a 100% third-party (3PL) trucking network and increasing ocean import volumes from Europe.
- Inventory & Warehousing: Oversee internal cold storage sites and external 3PL freezer locations.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain an industry-leading 99.9% customer fill rate.
- Automation & Systems: Support the implementation of a new 3,300-pallet semi-automatic freezer and assist in the migration to a Tier 1 ERP (SAP S4HANA).
Candidate Profile
- Owner Mindset: You take full responsibility for the P&L and the outcomes of your department.
- Logistics Expert: You have heavy experience moving finished goods and understand the critical nature of frozen supply chains.
- Strategic & Tactical: You are comfortable with demand planning and have the "headroom" to grow as the company expands.
- Self-Sufficient: You do not rely on a "corporate box" and are capable of being self-sufficient within a few months.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in supply chain leadership; we are open to senior managers ready for a Director-level role.
- Strong background in procurement for raw materials and packaging.
- Experience with ERP systems is required.
- Prior experience in Food & Beverage or CPG is highly preferred.
- Ability to visit regional 3PL partners (PA/NJ) once or twice a year.
