Lifeguard Responsibilities:

• Supervise all swimming activities and enforce pool safety policies
• Monitor swimmers, warn of potential hazards, and prevent unsafe behavior
• Respond quickly to emergencies, rescue distressed swimmers, and administer first aid, CPR, or artificial respiration as needed
• Evaluate water conditions and initiate emergency action plans when necessary
• Inspect and maintain pool facilities, equipment, and water quality for safety and cleanliness
• Assist with pool maintenance, including chlorine level testing and chemical treatments as directed
• Provide swimming instruction or assist with lessons when required

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong swimming ability and comfort in various water conditions
• Quick judgment and the ability to assess potential safety risks
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid techniques
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of lifeguarding experience preferred
• Must be available weekends and holidays
• Current certifications, including:
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate (or equivalent)
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer (or equivalent)
  • Standard First Aid Certification (or equivalent)
