Job Description
We’re looking for a Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment and knows how to turn numbers into real business impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who works independently, moves quickly, and brings a factual, data-driven approach to every decision.
If you’re someone who values private recognition, personalized rewards, and takes pride in being precise and reliable, you’ll fit right in.
In our restoration services business, you’ll play a key role in connecting financial performance to real-world project outcomes—helping leadership make smart, timely decisions that drive profitability and growth.
What You’ll Do:
Own the Financial Picture:
Lead monthly close and deliver accurate, timely financial statements
Maintain budgets and forecasts with clear, actionable variance insights
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal standards
Drive Project Profitability:
Oversee job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting
Analyze margins, labor efficiency, and cost overruns
Partner with operations to improve estimating, pricing, and execution
Lead post-job profitability reviews
Keep Cash Moving:
Manage billing processes, including insurance-related invoicing
Monitor AR aging and drive timely collections
Forecast cash flow and optimize working capital
Run Strong Accounting Operations:
Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting functions
Maintain internal controls and support audits and tax coordination
Lead & Support a Small Team:
Guide and develop a small, high-performing accounting team
Provide clear direction in a structured, fast-moving environment
Deliver insights that are quick, factual, and easy to act on
Improve Systems & Processes:
Optimize ERP systems (Sage Intacct experience is a plus)
Strengthen reporting, automation, and data quality
Standardize KPIs and streamline financial processes
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5–10+ years of accounting/finance experience
Experience in restoration, construction, or project-based environments strongly preferred.
Strong expertise in:
Job costing
Revenue recognition
Project accounting
You’ll thrive here if you:
Work independently and take ownership
Are quick, organized, and highly precise
Prefer clear expectations and structured workflows
Enjoy leading a small team without unnecessary layers
Make decisions based on data—not guesswork
Appreciate thoughtful, personalized recognition over the spotlight
This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences how the business operates and grows. If you’re looking for a position where clarity, speed, and precision are valued—and your contributions are genuinely recognized—we’d love to connect.
