Production Lead - THIRD SHIFT at Wedi Corporation – Batavia, Illinois

The primary responsibilities are but not limited to, overall manufacturing processes, monitoring product quality and output, assisting the Production Manager in managing employee assignments, employee growth and development, as well as other assigned duties.

The key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring all production machines are running efficiently
• Assisting in the training and development of the production team (provide guides and motivation)
• Ensuring all areas of the production line/machines are covered (directs and assigns work to reach production goals)
• Communicating production goals, safety and directions professionally
• Informing the Production Supervisor of any escalated issues
• Communicating any performance issues
• Notifying the maintenance team of any equipment malfunctions or problems that are affecting production needs
• Ensuring all required paper work is presented during the shift and completed correctly
• Reviewing all documents at the end of the shift to ensure process was followed
• Ensuring all production team members are following all SOP’s set in place
• Ensuring all production team members are following safety guidelines
• Ensuring all activities are aligned with company policies
• Maintaining a clean work environment at all times
• Operating heavy equipment (forklift) when necessary
• Leading by example to be the first one in and last one out during the shift

• At least 2 years of production experience preferred
• Prior experience in a workplace leadership role
• Aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent problem solver
• Displays excellent leadership skills and abilities (integrity, inspires, committed, good communicator, decision-making capabilities, delegation, accountability, innovation, & empathy)
• Ability to work the hours of 10pm-6:30am
• Ability to read and write in English (Bilingual applicants fluent in Spanish are preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work overtime when required
• Ability to work on weekends if necessary
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
• Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, and twist on a daily basis
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended period of time on a daily basis
