Role Overview:

Eastside Rise seeks to hire an Operations Coordinator to join a new, dynamic community development corporation in east Tulsa. This role is pivotal to the organization as it will support the development and implementation of internal processes as Eastside Rise continues to grow.

The Operations Coordinator is a key internal role that keeps Eastside Rise running smoothly by supporting day-to-day operations, systems, and logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, community-centered nonprofit environment.

Job Responsibilities:

General Operations

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including office systems, calendars, supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Create and maintain internal processes related to onboarding, contractors, interns, grant reporting, and programming
  • In collaboration with Community Engagement Manager, implement social media content calendar and oversee organizational social media presence
  • In collaboration with Executive Director, provide ongoing support for the construction and development of the Eastside Business Center
  • In collaboration with Executive Director and other leadership, identify and apply for grants

Finance & Administrative Support

  • Assist with basic financial administration such as invoice processing, expense tracking, and reimbursements
  • Support budget tracking and reporting in coordination with Executive Director and Tulsa Community Foundation
  • Help maintain accurate records for grants, contracts, and compliance

Program & Event Support

  • Provide logistical support for programs, meetings, workshops, and community events
  • Coordinate scheduling, space setup, materials, and follow-up communications
  • Track participation and assist with data collection and reporting

Systems & Communications

  • Help identify and manage databases, contact lists, and internal tools (e.g., CRM, shared drives, project management software)
  • Support internal communications and cross-team coordination
  • Assist Community Engagement Manager with external communications such as emails, forms, and surveys

Other

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, systems, and workflows
  • Support special projects as assigned

Education

  • Associate degree required and commensurate experience.
  • Bachelors preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in operations, administration, or coordination (nonprofit experience a plus)

Preferred Proficiencies

  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Lead with humility and curiosity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Process oriented and able to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort working with budgets, spreadsheets, and administrative systems.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with common tools (Microsoft Office, Asana, Meta Business Suite).
  • An unwavering personal and professional commitment to social, racial, and economic justice.
  • An ability to exercise sound decision-making in real-time.

Physical Requirements

  • The employee must occasionally lift and move up to twenty-five pounds.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Working in front of computer screens for up to 8 hours a day

Hours and Location

  • This position is based at 1801 S Garnett Rd, Tulsa, OK 74128
  • A typical work week is Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • The work week will occasionally vary with advance notice depending on scheduled programming and other events; on occasion, may require evening or weekend hours
  • Domestic travel required on occasion
  • Reliable transportation
