At our estate, we believe that every detail contributes to an unforgettable guest experience. We are seeking a dedicated Winery Support to be an essential part of our hospitality team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about service who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in creating seamless, memorable moments for guests. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events. The position includes base hourly compensation plus earned gratuity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality, whether it's their first visit or they are long-time friends and members of the winery.
  • Collaborate closely with the hospitality, culinary, and concierge teams to ensure smooth operations, enhancing the overall guest experience
  • A willingness to learn and grow in a setting that values authenticity, passion, and excellence.
  • Actively build strong guest relationships and tailored experiences by capturing all guest preferences and details accurately.
  • Maintain a pristine, well-stocked service area, ensuring plates, silverware, and glassware are always available; and restock wine, merchandise, and collateral materials as needed.
  • Support the hospitality team with setup, transitions, and closing duties to create a seamless flow of service.
  • Anticipate the needs of both guests and colleagues, responding with efficiency and warmth.
  • Engage with guests to enhance their experience, offering assistance and thoughtful interactions.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities with a calm, team-first approach, balancing multiple tasks with grace.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, contributing to the estate’s refined atmosphere.
  • Ensure all entryways and high-traffic areas remain clean and elegantly presented at all times.
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure seamless operations and a flawless, immersive guest experience.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including thoughtful furniture arrangements, décor, and equipment placement.
  • Take ownership of the overall guest experience, ensuring that every space enhances comfort, luxury, and connection.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.   • 1+ years of experience - luxury hospitality, fine dining, or winery experience preferred
  • Collaborative mindset—someone who sees teamwork as essential to success

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities with versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

  • Certification in California Food Handlers Training is required within 30 days of employment
  • Certification in California RBS Training is required within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings for special events.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods of time.
  • Perform repetitive motions and physically active tasks throughout the shift.
  • Lift, move, and carry items up to 50 lbs, including boxes and equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
  • Perform physical tasks including reaching, grasping, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Effectively coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpret and follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse population.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is normally performed in a tasting room/kitchen/hospitality environment, which includes indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors in varying extremes of weather, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Noise levels are usually moderate but may be moderate to high at times.
  • A percentage of work time may be spent in a wine warehouse and cellar where temperatures are cool, and the noise level is usually moderate.
  • Floors may be wet and slippery; proper footwear is required.

California Pay Transparency Notice: This position is classified as non-exempt. The base compensation range for this role is $19-21/hour. Candidates are generally not hired at or near the maximum of the base compensation range. Final salary placement will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, education, relevant experience, and alignment with current market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
