Inventory Supervisor Summary
Xpedient Logistics is a full service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs. The experienced Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing processes of our products and supplies. The main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking, and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation. They are the backbone of our operations and we are looking for you to join us!
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.Communicates with Warehouse Management and Operations Team as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortagesDocument daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventoryCreate detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levelsEvaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to shipProperly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficienciesAnalyze various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals
- Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control proceduresHire and train new employeesKeep appropriate records and reportsMaintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
- Manage the required physical inventoriesPerform additional duties as assigned by managementComply with all OSHA and MSDS standardsAbility to read, understand and follow instructions, and to code applicable documents

Minimum Requirements
- Strong experience with SAP and WMS preferred Have worked in a warehouse environment at a Manager levelUtilized a WMS extensivelyP&L Management ExperienceHave worked with figures and understand basic mathematics needed for reporting, analysis, and differentiation purposes.Manage your time effectively and be focused on setting clear objectives and prioritiesHave managed a large team of people across multiple shiftsHave knowledge of workforce management and industry best practices
