Great Lakes Honda is growing, and we’re looking for a highly skilled State Inspector / Experienced Technician to join our team and step into a lead role for our upcoming night shift operation.
This is a unique opportunity to help build and lead our evening service team from the ground up.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a certified State Inspector with strong diagnostic and repair experience who is ready to take on a leadership role. The selected candidate will initially start on a mid-shift schedule to integrate into our team, processes, and culture. Once established, this role will transition into leading our evening shift, supported by a team of B and C-level technicians already being assembled.
What You’ll Do- Perform state inspections in compliance with all regulations
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues
- Lead and mentor evening shift technicians
- Maintain high standards for productivity, efficiency, and quality
- Support workflow management and ensure smooth shop operations during evening hours
- Collaborate with service advisors and management to deliver excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Active State Inspector license (required)
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Proven experience as an automotive technician (A or strong B-level preferred)
- Leadership mindset with the ability to guide and support a team
- Dependable, self-motivated, and organized
- Willingness to transition into an evening/night shift leadership role
