Receptionist qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year experience in LTC/skilled nursing community preferred
  • Experience working in an Eden Alternative community preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Working computer knowledge
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience answering phones

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner
  2. Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; respond to inquiries or take accurate messages
  3. Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using the organization’s scheduling system
  4. Check clients in and out, verify demographic information, and assist with forms as needed
  5. Maintain the reception area to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environment
  6. Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and correspondence
  7. Maintain accurate records, files, and data entry in accordance with organizational policies
  8. Support administrative and clerical tasks while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
