Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA)
Part Time - 12 Hour Shifts - Rotating Weekends Required
Kootenai Urgent Care Schedule Considerations: Our Kootenai Urgent Care team staffs all three locations: Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, and Post Falls. If you are hired into a position with the Urgent Care team, your scheduled shifts will be at all three locations, and your scheduled location will vary based on team needs. The maximum distance between locations is 9 miles.
About the Team:
Kootenai Urgent Care provides high quality comprehensive medical care In Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Hayden, Idaho for non‐life threatening illness/injury without an appointment. We are open seven days a week for immediate care. We offer in-office X-rays when necessary.
Position Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for vitals, injections, basic triage and should be able to assist in minor procedures. In addition, you should possess a solid understanding of medical terminology, computers, and phones. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service and have good written/verbal communication skills. Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable of routine office procedures, medical instruments, and will screen phone calls from patients for the provider. This position will adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.

- Maintain an effective patient flow
- Assist physician during patient exams
- Perform necessary follow-up in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide quality care
CMA Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA or NCCT required
- BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS within 60 days of hire
