OTR COMPANY DRIVER - Class A CDL in GASTONIA, North Carolina at HIGHWAYS & SKYWAYS TRANSPORTATION LLC

About Us:
• Highways & Skyways Transportation, a regional carrier based in Gastonia, NC, has an immediate opening for an experienced OTR Company Driver (Class A CDL). We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused driver with a strong work history and clean driving record.

Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2 position (not 1099)

Job Description:
• Regional OTR – Southeast Region -16 states (Frequent lanes are Charlotte to Florida, Charlotte to Tuscumbia, AL, Charlotte, NC to Olive Branch MS, and Charlotte to Louisville KY)
• 2500+ miles per week
• HOME EVERY WEEKEND (Friday or Saturday depending on the delivery schedule)

Compensation:
• $.62 per mile, plus $.02 per mile Safety Bonus ($.64 total per mile)
• $21.00 per hour for waiting time in excess of 2 hours, plus $1.00 Safety Bonus ($22.00 total per hour)
• Pay Frequency: Every Friday via direct deposit

Company Driver Requirements:
• 23 years of age
• 2 years of CDL A experience
• Good/steady work history
• MVR – 2 or fewer violations in the last 3 years.
• No DOT reportable accidents or major violations in the last 3 years
• No Failed or refused drug test during the previous 10 years.
• No DUI or felony over the last 10 years

Responsibilities:
Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
• Driver is responsible for supervising loading of the trailer to make sure load is safe to transport, counting product prior to signing for it, and driver must secure load with load straps.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate routes and delivery schedules.
