Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction process from project inception through the start of construction. This role oversees design coordination, estimating, procurement, and early subcontractor involvement to ensure projects align with client goals, budgets, and schedules.
Preconstruction Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pursuit strategies, RFP responses, and client interviews
- Manage all preconstruction activities, including design management and estimating
- Develop conceptual budgets and detailed estimates; monitor cost trends
- Collaborate with Estimating, Operations, and Purchasing on schedules, logistics, safety, and procurement
- Provide value‑added cost, constructability, and means/methods input
- Lead preconstruction staff and ensure smooth transition to construction
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive construction experience; customer‑facing experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Procore (preferred) and CMiC (preferred)
- Working knowledge of design and engineering disciplines
- Degree preferred (may substitute for experience)
