Local Driver- Tractor-Trailers/Boom Trucks (CDL-A required) at INTERGLASS CORP – Savannah, Georgia

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive and deliver products to customer job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, and covers, and load/unload products as necessary.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service, adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions, routes, and obtain customer signatures for delivered goods.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness of the truck's interior.
• Read and interpret maps to determine optimal routes for deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum 2 years of driving with CDL-A License.
• Completion of a professional truck driving school and regular safety and compliance knowledge.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record per DOT and FMCSA guidelines
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

More details:

• Full time position, averaging 40-hour work weeks (overtime eligible over 40 hours)
• Monday-Friday, with some occasional Saturdays
• Hourly pay rate: $27.00/hour
