Cycle Counter at QuestSpecialty – Wayne, Michigan

A Cycle Counter ensures inventory accuracy by regularly counting small subsets of stock, investigating discrepancies, and updating inventory and locations within Sage X3. They maintain inventory integrity through daily, weekly, or monthly audits of stock levels, comparing physical counts to recorded data, researching root causes of variances, and identifying discrepancies in quantity and location of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Physical audits: Perform scheduled, daily, and random physical counts of inventory items to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for damages, verify proper product labeling/location, and check for proper FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environments.
• Skills: Proficiency Sage X3 or similar systems, and MS Office (especially Excel); strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varied warehouse environments (heights, cold storage).
• Experience operating forklifts or high-reach equipment for counting purposes.

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical skills to identify process improvements.
