About This Position

Position Overview

The District Manager will oversee eight tobacco/cigar stores in Southwest Pennsylvania, with a primary focus on building and leading high-performing teams. Your team will include 8 Store Managers and 25-30 Customer Service Associates. This role requires a strong people leader who can recruit, develop, and inspire Store Managers while ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership (Top Priority)

  • Serve as a mentor and coach to Store Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent, ensuring succession planning and career growth opportunities.
  • Build a positive work environment that motivates teams and drives engagement.

Operations & Strategy

  • Develop and implement district operational plans aligned with company goals.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and monitor store performance.
  • Ensure all stores adhere to operational policies and procedures.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support loss prevention efforts and maintain security protocols.

Financial Management

  • Manage regional budgets, payroll, and expenses to maintain profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement cost-control measures.

Sales & Marketing

  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure stores meet or exceed corporate sales targets.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure all stores consistently meet high service standards.

Inventory & Merchandising

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure product availability.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and merchandising standards across all locations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership skills; approachable and able to cultivate positive rapport with employees
  • Experience in multi-unit retail management, preferably in convenience or tobacco retail.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and implement strategic solutions.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, merchandising, and marketing principles.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
