About the Role
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations by onboarding and training employees, monitoring performance metrics, and partnering with leadership to improve productivity and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you’ll provide coaching and oversight to manufacturing personnel while ensuring all work aligns with GMPs, SOPs, and Pelton Shepherd’s quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is comfortable leading by example.
What You’ll Do
Safety First
- Champion a safe work environment by ensuring strict compliance with EH&S policies and procedures
- Identify and drive improvements that promote employee health and safety
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Promote Pelton Shepherd’s vision, mission, and Total Quality Management (TQM) principles
- Ensure operating procedures are understood, followed, and consistently executed
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of SOPs across production
Productivity & Scheduling
- Monitor performance standards and employee productivity
- Drive continuous improvement efforts toward a 95% efficiency goal
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production priorities and deadlines
- Support team development to meet operational and business goals
- Ensure production schedules are executed on time and with high quality
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead up and down the organization
- A “can-do” attitude and the ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to step in and support operations hands-on when needed
- Ability to read and understand English-language SOPs
- Working knowledge of production equipment or the ability to learn quickly
Education & Experience
AA degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Business Administration plus 3 years of production experience or
5 years of production experience with no degree
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable performing repetitive, physical tasks including packing, stacking, and lifting
