About the Role

The Material Handler ensures safe handling of material sand finished goods while working to receive and ship product accurately and on time.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Picking, packaging, labeling, and loading daily shipments to customers
• Unloading daily deliveries
• Movement of raw materials within the facility to pre-determined locations
• Movement of finished goods within the facility to pre-determined locations
• Working directly with administrative staff on incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments
• Working directly with production supervisor on production statuses and daily priorities
• Ensuring that all raw materials and finished goods are stored within the proper locations
• Ensuring that storage and movement of materials is done with safety procedures and guidelines
• Staging materials for production equipment
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous material handling experience (minimum 2 years)
• Basic math skills (decimal systems, subtraction, addition)
• Experienced forklift operator comfortable operating in tight space with long / heavy bundles
• Basic computer skills (data entry and management)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Technical analysis and problem-solving ability
• Able to work a flexible schedule as needed
• Collaborative and cooperative team member
• High school diploma
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs
