Job Overview:Superior Walls of Upstate New York is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Junior Mechanic to support the preventive maintenance and repair of our fleet of trucks and trailers. Based in Lima, NY, this full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring our equipment is road-ready and compliant with state and federal transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on company trucks and trailers
• Check and monitor brakes, tires, and fluid levels
• Replace and repair lights, fuses, and other small electrical components
• Change oil and lubricate/grease fittings
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate vehicle status to operations management
• Ensure all equipment is compliant with applicable safety and transportation laws
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other shop tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive or heavy equipment repair
• Basic knowledge of shop tools and vehicle systems
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and company procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Military experience or technical training is a plus
