Vacation Relief in Dallas, Texas at Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc.

Responsibilities:

• Relieves any worker in the shipping area during scheduled break and/or vacation period.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
• Must be willing to operate all equipment need to perform the job duties.
• Prepare paperwork for the oncoming shift.
• Complete all required documentation and schedule product checks.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous refrigerated warehouse and shipping experience.
• Yard mule experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
• Minimum age: 18
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

• Forklift and/or pallet jack certification as provided by the company.

Physical Demand/Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand/walk on your feet constantly during your shift.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50, to 75 lbs.
• Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backward.
• Must be able to work outside and be exposed to the outside weather/temperature conditions.
• Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of your surroundings.
• Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
• Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.
• Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.

Compensation:

After the initial 60 days of employment, performance will be evaluated for a pay increase.
