Job Title: Training Delivery Specialist – Child Nutrition Programs

Location: Remote

Reports To: Training Specialist or Designated Manager

Classification: Contractor (Temporary/Project-Based)

Travel: Required

Position Overview:

The Contractor – Training Delivery Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-energy, engaging training sessions focused on governmental compliance regulations in Child Nutrition programs (Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP); Summer Food Service Program (SFSP); National School Lunch Program (NSLP). This position requires a subject matter expert (SME) in government program compliance in Child Nutrition Programs who will deliver pre-developed training content provided by the Training Specialist. The role focuses solely on effective and accurate training delivery, without involvement in content creation, management, or marketing.

As a contractor, the individual will ensure high-quality, engaging training sessions for adult learners, both in-person and remotely. The role requires an expert level of knowledge in government compliance, strong presentation skills, and adherence to confidentiality and non-solicitation policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery:
    • Deliver high-energy, interactive group training sessions based on provided content related to governmental compliance regulations in Child Nutrition Programs.
    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on government compliance in Child Nutrition Programs, ensuring that training sessions are both accurate and insightful. These Programs may include Child and Adult Care Food program (CACFP); Summer Food Service Program (SFSP); National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and other governmental programs as required
    • Use effective trainer competencies to engage adult learners, including:
      • Active Listening: Attentively responding to participant questions and feedback during training sessions.
      • Facilitation Skills: Leading discussions, group activities, and interactive exercises that reinforce key concepts.
      • Energy & Enthusiasm: Maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm to keep participants engaged throughout the session.
      • Professionalism: Exhibiting a professional appearance and demeanor while creating an approachable and effective learning environment.
    • Deliver training in both in-person and remote settings, ensuring a seamless, effective experience across both formats.
    • Follow provided training materials (scripts, training guides, presentation slides) while ensuring the content is communicated clearly and effectively.
  • Preparation & Execution:
    • Take the necessary time to individually prepare for each training session, ensuring complete understanding of the content and readiness to deliver it with confidence and accuracy.
    • Ensure all technical and logistical elements are in place before each session, including equipment, materials, and presentation platforms.
    • Follow provided scripts and training guidelines, while adjusting delivery as needed to maintain engagement and adapt to participant needs.
  • Feedback Collection & Reporting:
    • Collect participant feedback through surveys, verbal check-ins, or other methods as directed by the Training Specialist.
    • Return all training materials and feedback to the company at the conclusion of each engagement, ensuring materials are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Confidentiality & Non-solicitation:
    • Strictly adhere to confidentiality agreements regarding client and company information.
    • Refrain from soliciting or accepting any direct work or contracts from the company’s clients, both during and after the term of the engagement, to avoid any potential conflicts of interest (real or apparent).

Qualifications:

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Nutrition, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
    • At least 5 years of experience in government compliance with any of the Child Nutrition Programs, with a minimum of 2 years in training.
    • Proven experience as a subject matter expert (SME) in Child Nutrition Programs, with a strong understanding of current and historical government compliance regulations (federal, state, and local).
    • Significant experience delivering training, preferably in governmental compliance or related regulatory fields, to adult learners.
    • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead engaging, interactive training sessions.
    • High energy and enthusiasm for delivering engaging, impactful training.
    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex compliance topics for diverse audiences.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in preparing and delivering training.
    • Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring readiness for each session and successful execution of training.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times, both in-person and virtual settings.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow provided scripts, training guides, and materials.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to non-solicitation policies.
    • Availability to travel for in-person training sessions throughout the United States as required.
    • Proficiency with remote training platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams) and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
    • Successful completion of a background check

Work Environment:

  • This position requires a combination of in-person and remote training delivery, with travel for in-person events.
  • Must be adaptable to different training formats, ensuring effective learning experiences in both environments.

Compensation:

  • The individual will receive contractor compensation, which is determined by an established daily rate for successful training delivery.
