Purchasing or Kitchen Manager

Position Summary

The Employee Breakroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked room for employees to dine. This role ensures food service areas meet health and safety standards while providing courteous and efficient service to employees.

Essential Functions

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the breakroom, food serving areas, and all dining areas.

• Clean tables, counters, microwave, refrigerator, sink, and other appliances.

• Empties trash and monitors trashcans to prevent overfills

• Remove dirty dishes, and utensils and take them to the kitchen for washing.

• Always maintains floor clean and dry.

• Restock food, beverages, coffee station, utensils, napkins, condiments, etc.

• Monitors inventory levels and notify management of supply needs.

• Ensure proper food storage and rotation (FIFO method).

• Follow all health, safety, and food-handling regulations.

• Report on maintenance or equipment issues promptly.

• Provide friendly assistance to employees as needed.

• Coordinates with coworker/s to ensure proper execution of all breakroom duties.

• Attend staff meetings as needed.

• Ensures proper storage and stock of eating and serving utensils, snacks, condiments, napkins, and other supplies.

• Inspects dishes, silverware, drink cups for cleanliness and sanitation.

• Sets employee breakroom up for daily service. Tues-Saturday by 10:30am.

• Informs supervisor or Chef if more food is needed.

• Works with purchasing manager and all kitchen management to ensure the employee breakroom is a priority.

• Perform other work related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Other Duties

• Perform dishwasher/steward duties and assist kitchen staff as needed.

Education and Experience

• Must complete all required training and food safety/Department of Health certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous cafeteria, food service, janitorial, or hospitality experience is a plus

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Restaurant experience preferred

Work Environment

• Indoor cafeteria and breakroom settings

• This position operates in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen setting.

• Frequent exposure to hot and cold conditions due to grills, coolers and freezers.

Work Schedule

9:30am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday - may occasionally vary due to business needs.

Must be able to work full time evening hours, some overtime, weekends, holidays and as needed.

• Must have and maintain active Food Handler certification throughout employment, provide proof of certification and updates to supervisor and Human Resources for compliance and recordkeeping.

Interaction

• Constant interaction with employees taking their meal break.

• Must be able to work full time evening hours, some overtime, weekends, holidays and as needed.

• Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 40 lbs.

• Independent mobility throughout clubhouse.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
