Job Description
The Manufacturing Accounting Manager is responsible for plant-level accounting execution, cost accounting integrity, and operational financial reporting in support of ElectroCraft’s Gallipolis, OH and Princeton, IN manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, inventory integrity, and cost variance analysis, and operates under the direction of the CFO and Corporate Controller. This position reports to the CFO of ElectroCraft.
The Manufacturing Accounting Manager does not have responsibility for company-wide consolidation, external financial reporting, or establishment of corporate accounting policy. Decision authority for manufacturing strategy, pricing, capital prioritization, and financial policy remains with Corporate Finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functional
- Provide financial statements with supporting schedules, perform financial analysis of the manufacturing operation, and assist in the decision-making process and the company’s financial plans and asset management.
- Maintain standards and calculate Material, Labor, and Overhead costs in close collaboration with Operations staff.
- Responsible for maintaining cost accounting elements in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
- Prepare and analyze cost variance and profitability reports to support operational review and decision-making.
- Provides financial analysis and reporting in support of capital expenditure reviews and post-investment tracking.
- Support Company’s Corporate Controller and financial institutions as needed for cash management and collateral reporting.
- Maintain adequate fiscal records in support of external and internal audits.
- Maintain appropriate transfer price policies on intercompany sales and purchases.
- Review and reconciliation of month–end closing. Provide Variance vs. Budget and Forecast analysis in meaningful detail.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, develop and maintain policies for identifying, reserving, and disposal of slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Monitor and post results of cycle-count inventories; assist Operations team with analysis and reconciliation of significant variances.
- Support annual budget process at two plants: under direction of Corporate Controller and CFO
- Maintain the integrity of the financial reporting system.
- Prepare financial budgets and projections for two principal manufacturing sites.
- Practice continuous process improvement techniques by eliminating non-value added activities.

Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: ISO 9001, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies.
Travel Requirements
10% - 20% overnight travel required

Requirements:Education Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or plant-level finance roles is required.
- Strong project management and problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills are a must.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing site optimization is a strong plus.
- Experience, knowledge or exposure to Lean principles and techniques is a plus.
- CPA is a plus.
