Packaging Supervisor in Kingsburg, California at Family Tree Farms

As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the packaging lines to ensure fresh fruit is packed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with food safety and quality standards. You will lead and support line staff, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and ensure that all production goals are met in a safe and organized environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervise and coordinate activities of line leads and packaging personnel across multiple packing lines.
• Monitor workflow to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Ensure accurate and consistent application of labels, clamshells, cartons, and packaging materials.
• Maintain close communication with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Inventory teams.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Address line stoppages, quality issues, or equipment problems promptly and effectively.
• Train new and existing employees on job duties, safety procedures, and line expectations.
• Track and report packaging performance metrics, yields, and labor utilization.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a fresh fruit or food production environment.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience required.

Language

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and packing line operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written); bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and production tracking software.
