Position Overview:

As the Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of precast concrete products to various job sites. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with dispatch and field teams to ensure all deliveries are executed efficiently and professionally.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a truck to transport precast concrete products to designated locations on schedule while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water, and report daily using inspection logs.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork in compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Keep accurate and dependable vehicle documents, including insurance cards, cab cards, and registrations for trailers.
  • Assist in loading and unloading products, ensuring that loads are properly secured for transport.
  • Effectively communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Follow all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Identify and report any maintenance needs or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Safely maneuver the tractor and trailer on job sites, following instructions from the crane operator or set crew.
  • Operate the vehicle in a professional and courteous manner at all times, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
  • Travel regionally as required to meet project timelines and customer needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of D.O.T. regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
  • Focus on maintaining and enhancing safety and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL Class A driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles; flatbed or heavy haul experience.
  • Ability to qualify for a D.O.T. Medical Card.

The pay range for this role is:
25 - 27 USD per hour(Rock Island)
