Flex Seal is seeking a results-driven National Accounts Manager to lead growth across our strategic B2B distribution partners within the Industrial, Automotive Aftermarket, and Wholesale Distribution markets. This role will manage and expand relationships with major national distributors while identifying new opportunities to increase revenue, product penetration, and market share.


The ideal candidate brings experience working for a manufacturer selling through national distribution partners, understands the dynamics of distributor channels, and has a track record of developing joint growth strategies with large accounts.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Account Management & Growth


Manage and grow relationships with key national distribution partners including Grainger, MSC Industrial, HD Supply, and additional strategic accounts within Industrial and Auto Aftermarket.Serve as the primary liaison between distributor partners and internal teams including sales, marketing, operations, and product management. Build strong relationships with distributor category managers, merchandising teams, and senior leadership.Develop and execute joint business plans to drive revenue growth. Identify opportunities for SKU penetration, product expansion, promotional activity, and increased distributor sales team engagement in the field.Work with Independent Manufacturing Sales Reps where applicable to drive field sales engagement and demand.

Strategic Planning


Analyze distributor performance, sales trends, and market opportunities to develop targeted growth strategies.Support the development of channel strategies to strengthen the company’s position within distribution networks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


Partner with marketing, product teams, and operations to align distributor programs, launches, promotions, and to ensure proper inventory level to support demand.


Reporting & Performance Management


Track and report on sales performance, growth initiatives, account activity, and progress to forecast.Monitor distributor inventory, sell-through, and promotional effectiveness.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Experience working for a manufacturer selling through B2B distributors.Proven success, growing revenue within national distributor channels.Strong understanding of distributor business models, margin structures, and channel strategies.Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans and joint business plans.Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred


Experience working with major distributors such as Grainger, MSC Industrial, HD Supply, Fastenal, Global Industrial, or similar, and Automotive aftermarket wholesale distributors.Background in industrial products, tools, safety products, MRO, or automotive aftermarket components.Experience onboarding new distributors or expanding national distribution programs.


Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.5+ years of experience managing national distribution accounts within industrial, automotive aftermarket, or wholesale markets.



Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel 25-50% to support key customers at tradeshows and in the field.
