Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:30 am to 5 pm, Friday as needed for production

About the Role

Mickey Truck Bodies is hiring a Quality Control Manager for our composites shop. The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring overall quality standards and specifications of procured and manufactured products, after sales warranty support, along with interfacing with customers regarding current and long-term quality/service concerns. This role is responsible for designing and implementing methods for process control and process improvement through activities, testing, and inspection.

Mickey Truck Bodies is a premier manufacturer of state-of-the-art bodies and trailers, and specially engineered vehicles sold in over 50 countries around the world. The innovative product line-up is prevalent in industries such as food & beverage, vending, propane, rental trucks, emergency & rescue, battery, oil & natural gas, and data storage. The company operates in 4 states with over 400 Mickey employees at these locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain quality standards and requirements for manufacturing and procurement.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative action plans.
  • Implement and manage process control, improvement methods, and inspection protocols.
  • Create and analyze quality metrics for internal and supplier performance.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality issues, trends, and improvements to management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality audits and maintain documentation.
  • Manage equipment calibration systems and oversee inspection activities throughout production.
  • Train manufacturing teams on quality standards, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Provide technical and statistical expertise and feedback for manufacturing and customer service.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor quality control inspectors to maintain productivity and technical standards.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, ensuring high levels of service quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management or assurance or other related field of study (e.g. Industrial, Mechanical, or manufacturing Engineering)
  • Minimum of 6 years of Quality Control Leadership background, preferably in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quality management systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl and kneel
  • Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work around machinery of all types
  • Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment

Manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, elevated noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather conditions.
