About This Position

Description:

As a CNC Applications Engineer specializing in deep drawn manufacturing, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for the design, development, and production of precision components via advanced machining processes. This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of how to convert flat metal sheets into intricate shapes using specialized deep drawing techniques that involve stretching and forming metal while ensuring its structural integrity remains uncompromised.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

· Spearhead the creation, development, and optimization of advanced CNC programs specifically designed for deep drawing operations. This task involves not only selecting the appropriate tooling but also ensuring material compatibility with various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and specialized alloys.

· Engage closely with product design and engineering teams to meticulously review technical drawings and specifications. Provide valuable insights during the design phase to enhance manufacturability, confirming that all parts meet stringent tolerances and adhere to industry standards for safety and functionality.

· Conduct thorough analyses of existing production processes to pinpoint inefficiencies. Propose and implement improvements, which may involve recalibrating machine settings, making tooling upgrades, or altering workflow strategies. The goal is to minimize cycle times while not compromising the high quality of the final product.

· Deliver expert guidance and training to machinists and operators on the operation of CNC equipment and deep drawing best practices. Develop comprehensive training materials and facilitate engaging workshops aimed at enhancing team skills and reinforcing adherence to safety protocols.

· Establish, maintain, and rigorously monitor quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Employ statistical process control (SPC) methods to accurately track performance metrics and swiftly address any deviations from quality standards.

· Undertake detailed feasibility assessments for new projects by analyzing production capabilities, cost implications, and project timelines. Collaborate effectively with the R&D department to prototype innovative designs, ensuring alignment between manufacturing processes and cutting-edge concepts.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in CNC technology and deep drawn manufacturing techniques. Assess and evaluate new machinery, tooling, and software tools to ensure our production processes remain at the forefront of industry standards.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.

· Proven track record of experience in CNC programming and operation, with specific expertise in processes related to deep drawn manufacturing, demonstrating a clear understanding of the nuances involved.

· High proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and Mastercam, along with familiarity in operating CNC machining centers and lathes. Strong analytical capabilities required to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

· Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues within the manufacturing process efficiently, while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, crucial for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and production staff.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary with performance-linked bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a growing organization.
  • Flexible working environment that promotes work-life balance.

If you are a dedicated professional seeking to further your career in CNC applications and deep drawn manufacturing, we invite you to submit your application and join us in making a meaningful impact within our dynamic team!

Work Environment:

This position will primarily be based in an office setting, with occasional travel required to visit clients, attend industry events, and engage with production facilities.

Application Process:
