About This Position

Position Summary:

Working in close collaboration with colleagues in the G&S Center, the Program Manager supports the development, execution, and promotion of high-impact sustainability, governance, and corporate citizenship programming for Member firms. This role manages program logistics, sponsorship coordination, member communications, and event execution while contributing to topic development.

The ideal candidate can operate independently, interface professionally with C-suite executives and sponsors, and demonstrates the strategic thinking and growth potential to take on expanded program ownership over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Execution & Management

  • Manage end-to-end logistics for Member-only Roundtables, Center Briefings, webcasts, and podcasts, including registration, materials preparation, and attendee management, etc.
  • Coordinate speaker logistics, develop briefing materials, and create run-of-show documents to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Partner with Digital Media team on virtual program production.
  • Track program metrics, analyze effectiveness using member feedback and engagement data, and produce reports for leadership review.
  • Support planning and coordination of Flagship events in partnership with Events team.

Sponsorship & Partnership Coordination

  • Execute sponsorship deliverables, supporting Senior Program Manager, including branded materials, speaking slot coordination, and sponsor recognition across programs.
  • Support relationship management with Knowledge Partners through program coordination and regular communication.
  • Assist in identifying potential sponsorship opportunities during program planning stages.
  • Track sponsorship commitments and ensure timely fulfillment of all sponsor benefits and deliverables.

Communications & Member Engagement

  • Draft program invitations, promotional materials, and post-event summaries highlighting key insights and takeaways.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on program communications, email campaigns, and promotional strategies.
  • Produce weekly member communications summarizing recent programs and upcoming opportunities.
  • Join member calls and meetings to support engagement efforts and serve as liaison to resources across TCB.
  • Coordinate with Sales team by providing programming updates, creating materials for prospect meetings, and supporting sales calls as needed.

Strategic Contribution & Development

  • Contribute to program topic identification, agenda development, and strategic planning, support Senior Program Manager in program development and logistics
  • Research emerging ESG, governance, and regulatory trends to inform programming direction and member priorities.
  • Support speaker research and outreach for key programs.
  • Assist with progress tracking against strategic plan.
  • Facilitates collaboration within the G&S Center and with other Centers and functional areas of The Conference Board, particularly the EU and AP G&S Centers.
  • Supports management of G&S Center's internal and external communications, including Smartsheet, CL meetings, publications and programming plans, newsletters, and alerts.

Other duties as assigned

  • These can include, among other things, opportunities to author/co-author publications, appear in G&S Center programs, and participate in Conference Board internal committees.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of program management, event planning, or related experience, preferably in professional associations, nonprofits, or corporate environments.
  • Working knowledge of ESG, sustainability, corporate governance, corporate citizenship, or regulatory topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics and coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft professional communications for C-suite audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems (Sugar and HubSpot a plus), and project management.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Senior Program Manager, Researchers, Member Engagement, and colleagues across The Conference Board.
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate needs with minimal supervision.
  • Professional presence and ability to interface with senior executives, board members, and sponsors.
  • Bachelor's degree.
