We’re partnering with a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle company to hire a CDL A Vehicle Operator who will play a hands-on role in shaping the future of self-driving technology.

This isn’t your typical driving job. You’ll be operating next-generation semi-trucks equipped with advanced driver-assistance and autonomous systems, helping engineers test, validate, and improve real-world performance.

• 🚛 Safely operate semi-trucks (53’ dry vans), straight trucks, and passenger vehicles in both controlled test environments and public roads
• 🧪 Support real-world testing of driver-assistance and autonomous systems
• 🔍 Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs)
• 📝 Provide clear, structured feedback to engineering teams on vehicle and system performance
• 🔄 Assist with additional fleet or operational tasks as needed

• Work with state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle technology

• Valid CDL Class A license with current medical card
• 5+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Experience safely operating and backing 53’ dry vans
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to pass:
  • DOT physical & drug screening
  • Background check
  • Road test
• Comfortable driving for extended periods
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

• No more than 2 minor moving violations in the past 3 years
• No serious traffic violations in the past 5 years
• No DUI/DWI/reckless driving (last 10 years)
• No preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• No DOT-recordable accidents in the past 10 years

• Safety-focused with strong attention to detail
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable following structured procedures and protocols
• Strong communicator — able to clearly describe issues and observations
• Interested in autonomous vehicle and driver-assist technology

• 🗓 Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 🚛 Semi-truck driving: ~10–20 hours every other week
• 🚗 Remaining time: testing and operating standard vehicles
• 🏢 Fully on-site in Mountain View, CA
