$25.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

Experienced Tool Maker wanted for a clean, stable manufacturing environment. Work with CNC and manual machines building precision tooling and fixtures. $25–$35/hr + full benefits.

Position Overview

Preci Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to support our tool room operations. This role is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining precision tooling, fixtures, and dies used in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong machining skills who enjoys problem-solving and working closely with production and engineering teams. Work involves a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, high-temp alloys, and plastics. This role is primarily focused on toolmaking and support work rather than production machining.

Key Responsibilities

· Build, assemble, and repair precision tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and process sheets
· Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and presses
· Perform precision measurements (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
· Use CAD/CAM software to support tool design and machining
· Support preventative maintenance and tooling repairs
· Coordinate and prioritize work within the tool room
· Partner with engineering on tooling design and improvements
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

· 3+ years of toolmaking experience preferred (not required for strong candidates)
· 3+ years operating manual and CNC lathes and mills
· Strong blueprint reading skills
· Working knowledge of GD&T
· CAD/CAM experience is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
