Server - Franchise at Guru Foods - Nevadenn, Inc. – Sparks, Nevada

Pay Rate: $12 / hour

A Denny's Server provides friendly, "Guests First" service by taking orders, delivering food, and managing payments in a fast-paced environment. Key duties include upselling menu items, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, and working as a team to ensure guest satisfaction. Servers must be able to stand/walk for long shifts and lift to 25–65 lbs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Guest Service: Greeting/seating guests, taking food/beverage orders, and providing a positive, attentive dining experience.
• Menu Knowledge: Suggesting new, promotional, or complementary menu items to guests.
• Food Delivery & Accuracy: Ensuring orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
• POS Operation: Using the point-of-sale system to input orders and process cash/credit transactions.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance: Pre-bussing tables, cleaning/resetting dining areas, and performing side work (e.g., restocking).
• Teamwork: Assisting coworkers to ensure efficient service.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for guest interaction.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for 85%-95% of the shift and lift/carry items up to 25 – 50 lbs.
• Schedule: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Appearance: Adherence to uniform and grooming standards.
