The Monarch San Antonio, Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the vibrant Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. Position Overview
Valet Ambassadors are the first and last point of contact for hotel guests and play a critical role in creating exceptional first and lasting impressions. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to Forbes Five-Star service standards while delivering personalized, seamless arrival and departure experiences. Valet Ambassadors anticipate guest needs, build meaningful connections, and safely handle guest vehicles as operational needs require.
What You'll Do
Guest Experience
- Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine Forbes Five-Star greeting.
- Build meaningful connections with guests through personalized interactions.
- Anticipate guest needs and create memorable, luxury-level experiences.
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for arriving and departing guests.
- Acknowledge every guest entering or leaving the hotel with eye contact and a sincere greeting.
- Provide knowledgeable information about the hotel, amenities, and local area when appropriate.
- Assist with luggage and guest requests as needed.
- Maintain a polished, organized, and welcoming front drive at all times.
- Observe the front drive for opportunities to enhance the guest experience and resolve concerns before they become issues.
Vehicle Handling & Operations
- Issue valet tickets to every guest who parks with us and ensure payment is collected.
- Monitor the arrival area to ensure a seamless flow of vehicles and guests.
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles as operational needs require.
- Handle guest vehicles with the highest level of care.
- Maintain organized parking areas and key control systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards in every guest interaction.
- Maintain a professional appearance, posture, and demeanor at all times in accordance with hotel standards.
- Wear the complete, clean, and properly fitted uniform during every shift.
- Remove all facial piercings prior to the start of each shift.
- Maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Teamwork & Professionalism
- Communicate proactively and work collaboratively with the valet, bell, concierge, and front desk teams to deliver a unified luxury guest experience.
- Be receptive to coaching and constructive feedback while demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Maintain a positive attitude, professionalism, integrity, and accountability throughout every shift.
- Be dependable, punctual, and prepared to begin each shift on time.
- Take ownership of guest concerns and seek assistance when needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
What You'll Bring
Required Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Previous valet or hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience handling luxury or exotic vehicles preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Schedule & Availability
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to work peak business hours and special events.
