THE POSITION…

As a Material Control Clerk, you will perform a variety of inventory control tasks such as pulling and kitting parts, stocking parts on inventory shelves, physical inventory counts and issuing parts to technicians at a will-call window. You’ll support the labs who manufacture and repair products. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be great at counting small parts and really understand the value of accuracy.

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF…

  • You have a high school diploma or GED.
  • You are comfortable spending most of the day on your feet and don’t mind stairs.
  • You are able to load, unload, stack, carry, push and pull.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • You have strong attention to detail.
  • You are organized, focused and results oriented.
  • You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
  • You have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

WE WOULD REALLY LIKE IT IF… (but it’s not a deal breaker…

  • You have a minimum of one year of experience with inventory control, bill of materials and cycle counts.

THE PHYSICAL AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT REQUIRES

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift regularly and for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Ability to handle exposure to varying temperatures or conditions (e.g. warehouse, loading docks).

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT…

  • Frequent computer use
  • Handle, count, and package high quantity of parts weighing just a few ounces up to 30 lbs.
  • Pick finished goods and parts in accordance with sales order requirements
  • Enter inventory data and accurately assign serial numbers in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Label and accurately locate received finished goods into proper inventory stocking location
  • Deliver parts to labs, inspection and other areas of the building in a timely manner (cart use available)
  • Pull parts for kits for new product manufacturing
  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Use a conveyor belt to move heavy parts to the second level (this is an open metal grated floor)
