Administrative Assistant Support Operations for Chicagos Leading Civil Infrastructure Firm
Job Overview:
Company: Capitol Cement Company, Inc.
Salary/Pay Rate: $50,000 to $60,000 per year plus Performance Based Bonus.
Location: Chicago, IL.
Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 7:30 AM.
The Opportunity: You will serve as the professional face and operational backbone of a company that has shaped Chicagos infrastructure for over 112 years. By managing the front office and supporting the bidding process, you directly enable our team to deliver essential public works projects. How You Will Make an Impact:
Coordinate front-office operations by managing incoming communications and welcoming partners to our Chicago headquarters.
Organize and maintain a rigorous digital filing system to ensure project documentation is accessible and secure.
Execute the assembly of critical bidding documents to help the company secure high-value government and federal contracts.
Process data entries in Excel and draft professional correspondence in Word to maintain project momentum.
Streamline office efficiency by overseeing the scanning, printing, and digital archiving of engineering and administrative files.
Facilitate bilingual communication to support diverse team dynamics and client interactions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in office administration, preferably within the general contracting or construction industry.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strict punctuality and the ability to reliably open the office every morning at 7:30 AM.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
5 years of related work experience in a heavy construction or civil engineering office environment.
Specific knowledge of the municipal bidding process and required documentation for prevailing wage projects.
Experience with Foundation accounting software.
Fluent in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with our diverse workforce and community.
