The Office of Business, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services (BHAS) leads the University's foundational business services and is one of the many units under Finance and Operations. BHAS performs critical services to ensure our students, staff, faculty, and visitors have an exceptional experience on campus, including:

Job Summary

Oversees financial and budgeting operations as well as financial reporting to ensure compliance of all programs, activities, and reports with policies, procedures, and regulations. Manages budgets: reporting, fund allocation, and modifications. Facilitates goals and subsequent strategies. Implements financial systems and software upgrades.


Essential Functions
  • Manages and oversees the facilitation, creation, and monitoring of the Responsibility Center’s annual budget performance
  • Maintains, submits, and reconciles the RC’s Capital Budget/Reserve accounts on a monthly and annual basis
  • Works closely with the University’s senior leadership team to provide short and long-term financial projections, along with communicating how they correlate with our overall mission/goals
  • Oversees and directly leads the BHAS Accounting & Finance team which is responsible for all financial functions across 100+ department accounts
  • Responsible for creating and assessing complex financial models and ROI calculations for large scale projects and acquisitions.
  • Serves as key administrator/liaison with the CFO’s Office and business partners across the University (Real Estate, Student Affairs, Facilities Management, Planning Design & Construction, and more)
  • Supervises staff which includes hiring, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration; manages work schedules and approves timecards; provides professional development opportunities; distributes and reviews work.
  • Establishes goals and develops implementation strategies; advises on the implementation of new programs, initiatives, and special projects that support goals and strategic plans.
  • Formulates, implements, and improves policies and procedures; educates and advises on the interpretation of fiscal regulations.
  • Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations related to revenue generation.
  • Oversees the coordination and scheduling of audits.
  • Reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Business Services

Hiring Range: $100,000-$115,000 annually
