Production Operator Training Program (No Experience Needed & Job Placement Support) at Columbus State Community College – New Albany, Ohio

Looking to start a career in advanced manufacturing with no experience required? Columbus State Community College is recruiting for our WorkAdvance: Manufacturing & Production Training Program—an 8-week, hands-on pathway that prepares you for entry-level roles with real employer demand in Central Ohio.

Graduates are connected to local employers immediately after program completion.

Participants train for entry-level roles such as:

1. Manufacturing / Production Technician
2. Machine Operator Assistant
3. Entry Process / Assembly Roles
4. Maintenance & Facilities Support

You’ll gain industry-ready skills in:

1. Safe manufacturing & OSHA workplace practices
2. Precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Reading blueprints & following SOPs
3. Quality control basics + documentation
4. Lean processes & continuous improvement
5. Professional communication & teamwork

Graduates are prepared to step into production roles across a wide range of manufacturing industries.

1. Be prepared to earn the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) credential
2. Earn OSHA-10 Certification
3. Receive 3 college credits toward an associate degree
4. Employer networking & interviews upon completion
5. Pathways to Electro-Mechanical Engineering (AAS) & Semiconductor Fundamentals
6. Training held at Columbus State’s Accelerated Training Center (ATC) in New Albany - Free Parking

No experience required. If you’re motivated, we’ll train you. Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalency. If you don't placement testing is available.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) or testing may be required
• Must be 18 years or older by program start date
• Ability to attend all evening classes (3x per week for 8 weeks)
• Interest in starting a career in manufacturing
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, team-based environment
