| Position Summary: | Under the guidance and supervision of a superior officer who is a member of the Police Division of the Department of Public Safety, a Police Recruit is a non-certified Peace Officer candidate that is eligible and expected to attend and successfully complete an Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy sponsored by the University of Dayton Department of Public Safety in order to obtain an Ohio Peace Officer Certification within a specified time period. |
