We’re looking for an energetic, caring, and reliable leader to join our After-School Program team as a Group Leader for grades 3 and 4! In this role, you won’t just supervise—you’ll spark curiosity, build confidence, and create a safe, fun environment where kids can learn, grow, and be themselves. From arts and crafts to games and educational activities, every day brings something new, and you’ll be right at the center of it all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead a group of children in After-School program activities as well as guiding/helping the children adjust and grow within the program guidelines.
  • Participate fully in the instruction of arts and crafts, games, and education programs.
  • Supervise and assist a small group of counselors with training, behavior management, and programming.
  • Responsible for a small group of childcare counselors and will assist with training, behavior management and planning for group activities.
  • In charge of a group of thirteen (13) children, helping each child adjust and grow with other children within the program guidelines.
  • Plan and implement daily curriculum for staff and children to follow.
  • Assist with all After-School Program activities and other activities as assigned.
  • Follow all program procedures and guidelines in conjunction with the Department of Human Services.
  • Demonstrate willingness to participate in all areas of the After-School Program.
  • Comply with and participate fully in the instruction of arts and crafts, games, and education programs.
  • Communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill level), and provide necessary instruction to children.
  • Observe student and staff behavior and assess its appropriateness, enforce relevant safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and discipline of children, area, and equipment

WORK SCEHDULE: Part time at 25 hour per week. Monday-Friday. About 12:00pm-5:00pm

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School diploma is preferred but may be substituted with a GED.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to become certified.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children
