Mid-Level Litigation Attorney
Cesar Ornelas Law is seeking a driven and experienced Mid-Level Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong litigation background who is ready to take ownership of cases, drive strategy, and advocate for clients through all phases of litigation. Essential Roles

The responsibilities of a Mid-Level Litigation Attorney include managing a litigation caseload from filing through trial, developing case strategy, and advocating on behalf of clients in court and during negotiations. This role requires a high level of autonomy, critical thinking, and leadership within the legal team.

• Manage a docket of active litigation cases from inception through resolution or trial

• Develop and execute case strategies, including discovery plans and motion practice

• Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

• Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs, defendants, and experts

• Handle court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• Collaborate with pre-litigation teams to transition and evaluate cases for litigation

• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed

• Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required

• Active license to practice law in Texas and/or New Mexico

• Proven courtroom and litigation experience, including depositions and hearings

• Trial experience preferred

• Experience with legal case management systems (Salesforce preferred)

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
