About the Role:
As an Emergency Management Program Analyst supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide stakeholder coordination, program analysis/planning, as well as budget development to a federal government client. You will be responsible for daily support of project coordination and task management; development of communications and planning materials; action item tracking; establishing and maintaining relationships with cross-functional groups; and generating effective solutions to fulfill project needs and objectives. You are a progressive thinker with a strong attention to detail, and a self-starter who can juggle many tasks on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Support task management and project coordination across lanes of the project
Develop and finalize communications materials and briefings with little oversight
Interact directly with clients to address taskers quickly and effectively
Work closely with subject matter experts to conduct data analysis
Assist senior members of the team in providing advice and recommendations to the government
Build and distribute knowledge in public safety communications initiatives and key concepts
Organize program documents and files for quick search and retrieval
Manage program correspondence and inquiries that effectively represent the program
Provide logistical and note-taking support for key meetings

Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 year of relevant experience
Experience independently coordinating projects, tasks, and assignments
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment by communicating effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -- skilled in note taking during high stakes and rapidly moving meetings, skilled in writing, editing, and knowledge management
Proficient in problem-solving with a flexible approach toward stakeholders
Receptive to all forms of feedback from clients and colleagues, and proactive to make changes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
Demonstrate a positive attitude even when faced with changes or adversity
Expert in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience supporting USGS or FEMA
Experience in strategy, change management, or public safety a plus
Experience in organizational budgeting or accounting
Experience or interest in public safety communications and/or emergency management
Previous experience in consulting, project management, business writing, meeting preparation and facilitation, and/or stakeholder outreach
