Position Description:

Empower individuals through therapeutic recreation and meaningful engagement

Are you passionate about helping others thrive through creative and purposeful activities? Were seeking a Recreation Therapist to develop, organize, and lead therapeutic recreation groups for individuals served with mental illness. In this role, youll design individualized activity plans, facilitate group sessions, and support personal growth while fostering a safe and engaging environment.

What Youll Do

Plan and conduct daily recreation and recovery groups that maximize participation and achieve treatment goals. Implement individualized activity plans and mentor team members in executing therapeutic services. Assess and reassess the strengths, needs, and progress of individuals served. Complete therapeutic activity assessments and supervise staff delivering these services. Maintain a creative and stimulating group environment tailored to participants needs. Document services accurately and in accordance with professional and facility standards. Deliver care with age-specific and culturally competent approaches. What Were Looking For

Education

Bachelors degree (required). Experience

Experience working with relevant populations (preferred). Licenses/Certifications

Certified Recreation Therapist, or ability to become certified (required). Completion of all client-mandated certifications and/or training (required). Why Join Us
