Tennessee Smiles is looking to hire a Dental Assistant who is excited about a fun and rewarding career in the Pediatric Dental field!

  • Someone who graduated from an accredited dental assisting program.
  • A great communicator that wants to make a difference in our patients’ care.

  • Eagerness to learn and provide extraordinary care to our patients.

    • RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia.
  • Clean the patient’s teeth.
  • Fluoride application
  • Take, expose and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
  • Provide hygiene and diet education.
  • Take impressions.
  • Schedule follow-up exams.
  • Review schedule to make sure appointments are scheduled appropriately.
  • Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.
  • Parents consults-discuss treatment plans.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Lab work.
  • Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area.
  • Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines.
  • Participate in marketing endeavors
  • Write letters to be sent to referrals.
