What You’ll Do
Every day brings something new. You’ll be hands‑on with dogs and puppies, helping them thrive by:
- Maintaining a clean, safe, high‑quality environment in our barrier facility.
- Cleaning and disinfecting boxes, cages, pens, and outdoor yards to keep our dogs healthy and comfortable.
- Feeding dogs according to established protocols and helping maintain ideal body condition.
- Providing daily enrichment activities that keep our dogs mentally and physically stimulated — and documenting their progress.
- Playing a key role in our puppy socialization program, helping pups grow into confident, well‑adjusted companions.
- Assisting veterinary technicians with exams, sample collection, medications, and health monitoring.
- Grooming dogs (bathing, nail trims, ear cleaning) to keep them looking and feeling their best.
- Laundering bedding, towels, and uniforms, and sanitizing bowls to maintain a spotless environment.
What You Need to Bring to the position
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a kennel, veterinary practice, barn, or other animal‑care setting is a big plus.
- Ability to lift and safely handle dogs weighing 50+ lbs.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Ability to take direction, work independently, and juggle multiple priorities.
- Professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
